  • It'll be interesting to see how many guys do "break up" and how many are asked to hang around the Island "just in case."

  • Michael,
Just wanted to thank you for having this blog. It gives US a place to voice our feelings. You are a great writer and your extensive knowledge of BST hockey is super.

I hope you have a nice summer and be safe driving.

and to everyone else that reads these blogs, it's cool to get so many different comments and view points.

Next season will be here soon enough and we will be wearing our new uniforms...which some may not likeand greeting some new players as well. Lets hope for that one!

I would say the following will NOT be back:

Regier, Berry, Thompson, Dubie, Masi, Malec to name some..
I think Wotton has 1 more year? If not, he's not back either!!
I'd like to hear others thoughts.
    on these.

    take care everyone!

  • Stan,

I am not sure about Regier, but I thought Thompson had a 2 year contract. I agree with you on the other 4 players. Dubie should be with the Islanders and who knows where the other 3 will be playing.

As far as Mark Wotton is concerned, he will be here next season. On the way back from the boat cruise he mentioned that we are "stuck" with him for another year.

Should be interesting. I think 2/3 of our defense is probably already set. You have to figure Wotton, but then we should be including Andrew MacDonald, Wes O'Neil and Dustin Kohn

Just like Stan mention, I would also like to thank you for having this blog Mike. It is very helpful to find out different things that you may or may not mention in your articles. You are a great writer and we are lucky to have you writing for the Sound Tigers. You are a very knowledgable person, especially on BST hockey.

    Have a great summer!!

  • Just wanted to say to the people on this blog and those who sit in the attack zone thank you for the support you've shown along with me for this team. I went to the season finale of the Syracuse Crunch on Saturday night and honestly, after seeing those fans I felt ashamed of the lack of support for our team. The Crunch were an awful team beginning of the year and played well down the strech but those fans cherished that team. They sold out their finale and the organization did a great job with it. Beginning of the game they had the team awards and had a very long thank you to the fans. Also, which I found very creative, at the end of the game the 3 stars of the game was the whole Crunch team and the fans DID NOT LEAVE EARLY. They lost 5-2 to Rochester but with a minute left all 6,500 people in that arena stood and cheered. I was very impressed by the fans at Cuse and they showed much class. I know that we may not have big crowds all the time but I know those who have been there all year and I truly thank you as a diehard fan myself. All of you other die-hards have made the Bpt experience that much better. Also Mike, great job this year and hope to keep reading updates on the blog over the summer. Thanks Mike, Thank You Everyone
