The only thing that went right...
...for Bridgeport... went right four hours away.
The Sound Tigers can thank Jacob Micflikier, Kyle Wanvig, Steve Stirling and the Springfield Falcons for a little, tiny bit of redemption. Micflikier scored the winning goal with 3:19 to play after Albany rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie it.
Or, the Sound Tigers can just be angry at themselves. One of Albany's four gimmes goes the exact opposite way, and they're doing nothing in Philadelphia.
"No intensity on the power play," said Regier. They take 8-8-6 shots by period. OK, Philly maybe gets a bit lucky on its goals, but Bridgeport still wouldn't be winning with no goals.
The lead is a bit about coming in here and not doing anything against a team that they should be able to beat here. There are a lot of places in this season to look back and talk about opportunities and points lost. This could be one of them.

Berry wore the Phantom (not Phantoms) 'A' again. Lines changed up some in the third. Fraser was on defense, spotted in for a while and then a bit more regular. Gervais said the ankle felt good afterward.
Zingoni on the top line and on the penalty kill.
Phantoms wore their purple sweaters.
Moncton is out. No word yet on MacDonald.
Brief Tiger Todd Griffith was named to the ECHL's All-Rookie Team on Wednesday.
Manchester clinched home ice for the first round. Hartford cut its magic number to two on Brandon Dubinsky's four-point night.

Why play with 7 D and 10 forwards when we've got enough of each? Are they that down on Ogorodnikov? Seems like a team that struggles to score could do themselves better by having more forwards available.
If they bring in MacDonald (and I hope they bring him and O'Neill here) and Campoli comes here next week, then we might be able to replace just about our whole crappy defensive unit. I'd have no problem if the D lines trying to get us to the playoffs (and then in the playoffs) was:
Rourke - O'Neill
Wotton - MacDonald
Gervais - Campoli
I defy anyone to tell me how that's not a big step up from Berry, Fata, and Malec. Might by one of the best 6 man D units in the AHL.

I'd take Fata over Rourke. Fata is a hard-nose leader, we need that spark.

That's so funny that I had read it twice to see if maybe you were being sarcastic.
Does Fata provide spark when he lets a guy go by him for an easy breakaway goal or is he more sparky when he turns around after the guy beats him and reaches out for the trip or hook.
Oh, hang on, I know. He's most sparkalicious when he takes a cheap shot on a guy from behind after the final horn.
